I just got home from my EuroDelivery trip, and I scraped the wheel of my 545i. I dropped the car off in Paris (which is not an EH Harms location) and the woman could not confirm whether BMW would fix the wheel. I noted the damage anyway.
Will the VPC replace my wheel? Should I call BMW? Thanks!!
ps. also, i'm on the west coast- how long should i expect my car to take to get back?

The VPC replaced my rashed wheel on thier own. I was expecting to have to live with it. But, when I got the car back there was brand new wheel in place of the rashed one.
Being on the west coast, I waited almost 8 weeks to the day for redelivery.

I didn't get new wheels. I had a minor scrape on one, and I did have to live with it. I don't think they will cover it. It took about 8 weeks for my car to arrive and then two weeks at the VPC.

Hey Bryant - sorry to hear about your wheel. The exact same thing happened to me (in Le Meridien's parking ramp!) when I picked up my 545i. That active steering can be tough to get used to! I also got a little scrape on the rocker panel near the wheel well.
You need to file a claim with Gerling (the German insurance company) - they cover any damage while you are on your ED trip. In my situation, I sent the claim in to Mr. Linsmeyer who is the contact there; he requested a brief written description of how the damage occurred.
When my car got to the VDC, they contacted Gerling and got approval to replace the wheel. This process added about 2 weeks to my redelivery time. It was 10 weeks all together. When I got the car back it was perfect tho!

Hi Bill, so as not to resurrect and old post. What CCA VPC tour did you take advantage of? Was it just coincidence that your car was there at some planned visit, or can you go anytime by dropping the CCA name?

The one I went on was almost exactly 1 year ago. It was just coincidental that my car happened to still be stuck there when I got to visit. You deflinately can't just drop by.
