A collegue told me it was possible to order an ED at one dealership and pick up at another (i.e. buy at the cheapest and have it delivered at the closest).
Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, its called courtesy delivery and must be arranged between two dealers.
I see you are in SoCal, you might want to give Franco at Santa Barbara BMW to give you a ED quote.

Can anyone confirm this? | As mentioned above. It is called courtesy delivery. Courtesy delivery costs $400-$500 to have the car shipped to the courtesy dealer. I have read here that it is not recommended since the courtesy dealer usually does not make an effort to deliver the car clean or even top it off with gas.

Thanks for all the info.
I'll call the SB dealer recommended as well as my local (Irvine) dealership. (Also checking out the ED friendly dealers in the forum).
Any guess as to what over invoice I'd expect to get a deal down to (330Ci conv, ZHP)?
