ED Question to jwarcd on production build
Quote: | Try BMW of Watertown in CT, talk to Scott Doty ((860) 274-7515). I've bought two cars from him and he's an expert in ED, and a great guy. I have an E90 ED ordered for June 10 through Scott. | I've got a few questions if you have a minute: (1) How far in advance did you place your ED order?; (2) I'm interested in a 2005 330Cic for ED pick-up in early May...if they make the car by or before early April, will they hold it for me until May?; (3) Relative to Scott at BMW of Watertown, what type of deal were you able to negotiate? (I realize that the new E90 will likely sell for MSRP at introduction, but how did you do on your other 2 ED purchaes from Scott? Did he discount from ED MSRP, and if so, how much?) Thanks for taking the time to respond. Also, if anyone else in the forum can offer input from their experiences, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks again. | | Reply » ED Question to jwarcd on production build | Pjt - I don't think you will be able to get a 2005 in May, BMW has stopped making E46s, but I'm not sure about the convertibles... I think you may have to wait until the 2006 comes out. BMW won't make the car and hold it... they schedule production based on your delivery date.
The other car that I did ED with Scott at BMW of Watertown was also when the car first came out so it was at ED MSRP. He would probably be willing to negotiate if it wasn't such a new car. A friend of mine recommended Scott to me years ago because was "ED" friendly. I was very happy with my last experiece
