I will be picking up my new 7 in early May. Unfortunately I will only have a day with the car before turning it in either that afternoon or the next morning.
Can anyone recommend a drive that would let me approach the break-in limits of the car on the autobahn (presumably in an unlimited area) and perhaps offer some nice twisties as well? A bit of scenery would not hurt either.
I was unsuccessful in searching for this. Thanks for your help.

I took the autobahn to the southwest of Munich to Garmisch...it's not that far (esp at 100mph) and you can do some nice twisty driving in and around Garmisch. It's a perfect little town to stop for lunch (they have a great bakery there with coffee and lots of tables). Very little traffic on my May 2 Sunday drive but stay to the right...those VW GTIs like to cruise by at 130+mph! (the bigger cars do about 140-150)

That sounds excellent. Thanks.

My wife and I did a short run up to the Factory where your 7er is buillt at Dingolfing. Chris at the Delivery Center made the recommendation.

I did exactly the same a couple weeks ago; put on a total of 180 miles. You can easily pick up in the morning drive down to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and back to Munich to drop off. Like Mark said, the drive provides some fast driving and some FUN driving.

Thanks, Bill. That is a great picture The road looks a touch narrow for a 6er or 7er. I imagine you took that corner at something less than 50 mph
I am relishing the trip and hoping for good weather. Thanks again for your input.
