W/ Xenons - Have you/how often have other drivers flashed their beams at you?

How many of you, with Xenon equipped bimmers, while driving have had other driver's flash you because they thought you had your high beams on?

This seems to happen frequently with me, and kind of gets me miffed, I just flash my lights right back at them to let them know my highs were not on, and hopefully make them feel stupid.

They must feel they're too bright, but I've seen other cars with xenon beams, and I don't think they're tooo bright, (hurt your eyes etc).

What do you guys think?

Never.
I go to college in the bay area, and drive back to my parents house for vacations in rural AZ. I never get flashed in the bay area, but happens frequently out here in AZ, it seems drivers must be more used to them in highly populated areas.

I drove out to AZ last September/October to visit my parents who moved to Tucson earlier in 2005. No issues, but then I'm an old fart.

I was rather surprised that it never seems to happen to me. Surprising because looking into xenons bothers me sometimes.

Xenons are for the exact opposite purpose of what you might think. They are designed to less stress other people's eyes as opposed to a normal halogen headlight.

Alot of times I think people have their non-xenon highbeams on yet they don't.

If you ever drive up to a flat surface, a wall or building, and you are about 20 feet away in your car with the low beam xenons on, looking from right to left, you can see there is a visible 30 degree decline in your lights. This is done so that the xenon lights don't directly illuminate the oncoming traffic as quickly as if there was no decline at all and it was just straight, thus less stress on the other people's eyes.

On dark country roads people might feel they are too bright but in the city this should be no problem since there are lots of streetlights so your eyes do not have to adjust as much.

*edit*Another point I feel I should make is that xenon lights better illuminate darkness and are more efficiant in doing so than normal halogen lights.

Also don't stare directly at the xenon lights because I think it's brighter than the sun
