ED e60 Mods in Germany
Just visited the BMW Niederlassung Munchen (city dealership) today. I saw a beautiful 530d with the M-Sport Package...including Aluminum Cube Pure Trim....wow.
OK, here is the question. The parts guy was great. I have all to part numbers and cost to install. It really is not that bad to install the trim and the outer aero package. What will BMW say when they see this car at the import center?
I would like to do the mods in Germany because it is obvious they know what they are doing. These service and parts reps are top notch.

The Frankfurtering dealership is top notch, it is the largest BMW owned store in Bavaria.
But to answer your question, I am telling ya...DON'T ***k with e the car with any add-on's that did not come w/ your car.
Your car has a certain spec that BMW noted and submitted to US custom and EPA. A change of a rim even in the exact same size but in a style not available OEM in US will ruin your day in 9 weeks when the car shows up in VPC.
Don't even think about aftermarket exhaust installation or aero kit. If you want them, and like them, either buy it and ship it back (leave it in your car it will disappear when the car shows up in your US dealer) or bring it home as luggage (if it fits).
Like wise w/ any trim pieces, if you put it in and it is not what your car is spec to be, you will likely find it in US with the original installed back. DON'T do it!!
hope this helps,
