Do they drill the 5 series for front plates?

Funny Question:

Does anyone know whether or not the European Delivery center actually drills holes for the German tourist plate, or do the mount it without drilling?

Thanks!

They drill, there is no other way to mount the front license bracket.

I don't think it's a funny question. I've done ED twice. The first car was a 7er and when it arrived in the States I had lined up a 'Euro Strip' to be painted by the dealer and installed. The second vehicle was an X3 that required filling in the holes and touching up the spots. It was no big deal that cost about $75. Many dealers have a specialty painter that comes by to do little jobs like this that are too small for their Body Shop. I don't think the E60 has a Euro Strip available so it will probably require the touch up mode.
