Asked sales rep if I'd be getting in on the week 9 changes for my 545i on order with March 17 pick up and was informed that my car would start production on week 7

It's like buying a computer the moment you take it home thre's a better model available.

Oh well, I guess will have to wait three years now.

Have the auto transmission on order, but am thinking of switching to manual, still have a few days to decide. Anyone want to twist my arm?

Would prefer manual but had a lot of problems with the manual X5 before the current 530i and did not enjoy it.

I think the 545i would be awesome with manual, but worried about the problems.

I'm week 7 production also. What changes? I did read somewhere that phone book transfer from phone to car via bluetooth would be quicker on cars produced after March 5.

Thanks very much. It appears the changes are for e60s, and I'm getting an M3. I did hear the thing about a bluetooth upgrade in early March. I'm waiting for confirmation as I asked for a change of pickup date to 03/18 day after you!

How do you guys get the week of production? From the dealer?

I see it only on the "Order Modification Confirmation Dealer" form when we ordered and spec'd the car. Has production dates on there.. mine say 2005/02/07 (Yr/Mo/Wk) week of 02/14 but the Customer Support person at NA said they are already about a week ahead right now.
