I have ordered my 05 545i for Mar. 7th delivery. The vehicle status is on order. But I have not got the confirmation for the delivery date. When do I expect to have it finalized? Thanks.

Your dealer should get a reservation confirmation from BMWNA within 2 days. Sometimes it takes upto a week....maybe more during the holiday season. It is a fax that the dealer receives that indicates the requested delivery date. You should plan your travel accordingly. This requested date does not change unless you initiate a request and subject to availabiliy of the new date.
In my case, I received a copy of this fax from my dealer on day 2 after confirmation of booking. My first date was 3/9. I called up BMWNA directly after a week and changed this to 3/11. They then sent me an email confirming this new date. I am not sure if the delivery date is shown on OC. Your CA should confirm this.

Also, within the next couple weeks, you should receive a letter (included in your ED package) that will confirm the details of your ED.

Thanks. | I got my confirmation from my dealer withing a couple of days maybe a week b/c it was at the end of December for March 24th pick up. This confirmation comes from BMW and it is a ED program reservation, it includes the date, production number, order number, and center code/phone number. Once you have this letter you should very quickly make reservations with lufthansa, specially since you are pretty close to the date. By the way if you are interested in doing the Dingolfing factory or the Munich factory tour you need to reserve via e-mail or phone. I can't wait for my 1st pick-up.

As PittBMW mentioned, your dealer can confirm your delivery slot within days of the purchase order.

As per my last call to LH, last week, no weekend tickets left for March that are priced less than $560. Call fast. Even the flights that leave at convenient times are probably gone.
