 When can dealer place Europe delivery



I ordered a 2005 530i for Munich delivery. Dealer said they could not place the order untill 90 days prior to delivery. Getting two for one cheap airline tickets that close to delivery seems improbable. Does anyone know how early the dealer can place the order?

I have asked for a September 15th delivery. I don't know why the dealer doesn't want to place the order now?

I think your dealer is correct. The BMWNA - ED department wont take reservations so far out. What's the problem with the 2 for 1, it's good until 12/31/05?

I too ordered a 2005 530i for ED and wanting to be certain it was ready for a May 17th delivery, I submitted the order on January 14th....a full 4+ months out. My sales rep. assured me it wasn't a problem if the car sat for a few weeks.
Also, I think the '05 / '06 model-year changeover for the 5 series may be in the equation somehow.

Ours was also ordered 90 days in advance (in July for October delivery).

We bought an 03 and wanted the earliest date for ED, which was mid October 2002.

If the current 5er has a September year changeover, getting an 05 in mid-September may not be easy... isn't that's a little late?
