 ED fees

I'm finalizing details on my ED and wanted to know if dealer registration fees of $295 was considered a normal fee......thanks.

No, not normal. Registration for what? I assume they don’t mean your vehicle registration, license plates, tabs etc… I paid nothing like that extra for ED. I have read on this forum where last minute and other mysterious fees were attempted by some dealers, but they withdraw them when questioned.

The dealer should charge you whatever your state charges to register the car. These amounts vary widely by state but are not determined by the dealer. They may also charge you a small (like $40) document fee for the service of submitting the paperwork to register the car. Anything more than this is a rip off.

DMV fees (license and registration) will probably vary widely by state. I think I paid couple hundred or so in CA if I can remember. I had them waive doc prep fee (about $50).
