Paying for ED vehicle?
Am interested in purchasing a 2006 330i or 325i via ED? Can the car be financed in the same way as if I were purchasing here in U.S. and what must be taken care of (in terms of payment and financing) before delivery in Germany? I have read that it is possible to find a price of perhaps $1,000 over ED invoice? What has been others' experience with ED pricing? (I realize that 2006 pricing for 3 series e90 is not published). Thanks for any assistance and info.

The 3 series being the bread & butter model will probably be easy to deal on. Maybe not for the first 3 or 4 months but with the power of the 'Fest to help locate those ED friendly discounters I'll bet it can happen sooner rather than later. IMHO. | The is healthy demand for the 3er everywhere, so pricing will be stiffer than the 5er's (especially as the 3er is priced only a few hundred pounds above the 1). There is no demand for the 545i except Stateside, as the 535d has broadly the same performance, and is significantly cheaper to buy and run.
5er discounts, even on the high-demand diesel variants, came into effect within about 9 months. Discounts on the 1er were in effect immediately, and you can knock £5,000 off a 6er just by saying the words "I like that big coupe over there". All very new phenomena for BMW. I might guess, given the negigible price rises of the 3er, that BMW will probably encourage dealers to restrict discounting by lowering margins.
