Knowledgable and friendly dealer in SF Bay Area?

Hi,

After test driving a X3 at the Fremont BMW dealer last Sunday, I asked for the person in charge of the ED program. He was not knowledgable (he told me that I can't get X3 via ED, and that X3 is built in Australia) and not friendly either. Does anyone have a good recommendation of good ED dealers in the San Francisco/Bay Area?

Appreicate your help.

Thanks, Edmund.

He really said "Australia"? Not Austria?

OMG! I was laughing so hard I accidentally pushed the "Submit" button before adding the required

Anyway, ... I got my car at Sonnen in Marin, but I don't know if they're any good at ED. I guess you can pretty much rule out any dealer that would have you picking up your new X3 in Melbourne or Alice Springs.

Geeze!!! you want your cake and eat it too??!!
If you want the 2 above, you need to be willing to get out of the bay area. That's all I've gotta say about that. Our sponsoring dealer BMW of Santa Barbara is highly recommended by me.

cheers,

I got my ED done at Sonnen in Marin. I dealt with Jim Chang Archibald. Very nice, knowledgeable, old school type of guy. He only does ED. Everything went smooth and I got the price I wanted for my 330i ZHP. I also take both of my cars for service there (even though I live in SF) - their service dept. is top notch.
Tell him Michael sent you.

Now, 2 dealerships to definitely avoid in the Bay Area - Concord and Peter Pan. They suck big time. Concord actually borders on criminal based on mine and some other people's experience. BMW of SF is OK at times but price wise they are still in the dotcom dreamworld. Weatherford is all right. A little sleazy but a good deal can be had there. Their body shop (really a separate operation from the dealership) is probably the best BMW bodyshop in the Bay Area period.

All in all I think Sonnen is by far the best dealership around here.
