need VIN help, I'm BMW n00b
I've been searching the net, and quickly, I need to find out what the vehicle codes in the BMW vin numbers corispond too, and if I was given a bad VIN number...
I am looking to purchase a 1986 BMW 325i, as basic means of transportation, and when I went to get insurance, I was told the VIN was invalid
I found this site through google, and I was wondering if someone could help me.
the VIN was given as wbaae310700897224, (which in a few FAQs I've read, does not apear to be valid) is there somnething I am missing.

Most likely answer might be that the seller copied the number wrong in his communication with you. First thing I would do is try to get confirmation of number.
