My factory warranty expires in 6 days. I'm the original owner and I have not had any major problems with the car. Should I consider an extended warranty? If so, from whom? BMW (which only extends it 2 years) or an aftermarket (which ones are good)?

Definetly yes for warrenty because BMW's tend to cost alot once something breaks on it and it has to go into shop, but for the extended maintanence- maybe since alot of little things on our car break all the time, like the speakers blow out, and a couple time's we've had the amp and 1 time all speakers and amp replaced in the car which most likely cost well over $2k. So, for a little bit of money it will benefit you alot, but if you don't really care or don't have problems with your car like that, the warranty is all that you need.

I don't think they are worth it if you plan to trade your car in after a few years. If you plan to keep your car 'forever', then I think it's a good idea to get the extended warranty.
