 Alarm system radio frequencies

I have just returned to the UK from the US and brought my 2000 model 323iT with me. Before the car can be registered in the UK it has to be converted in various ways to meet UK specs. Everything has been successfully completed except that I have a problem with the alarm system frequency. It currently operates on 315 MHz. That frequency is not legal here, it must use either 433 MHz or 868 MHz. I believe I can solve this problem by getting a new set of keys operating at 433 or 868 and, obviously, changing the door locks to match the new keys. I would then have to change the receiving frequency of the alarm system. Does anyone know whether the receiver can be switched to different frequencies or whether the receiver is a module that can be replaced with anoother module of the correct frequency without messing up anything else on the car?

Thanks,

John Gilbert

Looks like an EWS module change is required. Probably plug and play.
