M Roadster Rear Brake Caliper Question

I am in the process of switching over my brakes - Brembo BBK front and stock rear (powder coated to match). I have located a decent set of 1999 M3 rear calipers that I could get powdercoated and then switch with my original calpers. However, in looking at realoem.com the part numbers are different (not a big surprise) but the pricing is quite different for the M3 calipers versus the M roadster. Both fit 312 x 20 mm rotors so they should be close, however before I spend the money I would like to know for certain?

Anyone know if there is a difference between them besides for price? If it works out I will have my old rear calipers for sale this summer for anyone who is looking to do the same.

Except for the entry point the calipers look the same.
Ron, do you know the difference in rotors between the M Roadster and M3? I have heard a couple people say you can use M3 rotors, but many say no. I have never tried it myself.

Is there a difference in diameter or the hub backspacing?

I am running E36 M3 rotors all around with no problems.

MZ-3 and M3 front and rear rotors are the same part numbers.

While we are on the topic, how much additional line (or is it a different andgled fitting thats needed) to swap to a E36 M3 caliper. I am just thiking about how brake kits are offered for the E36 M3 and not the M Roadster. What would it take someone to convert over?

The stock line woundn't work with the M3 caliper. The Z3 comes in from the side and the M3 one enters at the back if I remember right. Maybe a longer looped line would work but didn't go there.
