M Roadster Rear Brake Caliper Question

I am in the process of switching over my brakes - Brembo BBK front and stock rear (powder coated to match). I have located a decent set of 1999 M3 rear calipers that I could get powdercoated and then switch with my original calpers. However, in looking at realoem.com the part numbers are different (not a big surprise) but the pricing is quite different for the M3 calipers versus the M roadster. Both fit 312 x 20 mm rotors so they should be close, however before I spend the money I would like to know for certain?

Anyone know if there is a difference between them besides for price? If it works out I will have my old rear calipers for sale this summer for anyone who is looking to do the same.

M3 rear calipers have a different fluid entry point.
I found this out after I powder coated them.

Well, I appreciate your painfully acquired wisdom. Since there was such a disparity in pricing between the roadster caliper and the M3 calipers I figured something was up. Otherwise all the M3 folks would be using the roadster calipers (new almost half the price).

Interesting.
MZ-3 rear calipers suggested retail is $220 each
M3 rear calipers suggested retail is $429 each

From the 06/99 price book the MZ-3 ones were $279 each
The left M3 one was $424 and the right $416 each

I am kind of amazed at how much there is a difference in price. The rotors are the same size so how could a different fluid entry point make that much of a difference? Interesing isn't it?

Except for the entry point the calipers look the same.
