I haven't tried it. What are trying to accomplish? Replace worn liner, acoustic treatment, etc.?
The heat comment "The reflective quality reduces engine heat transfer." actually concerns me. Heat transfer from where to where - engine to hood? I'm not aware that that is something we need to be concerned about with the oem liner. I question whether reflecting heat back at the engine is a good thing?
Just some thoughts...

Just some thoughts... | I was thinking the same-opposite of heat extractors that vent heat from under the hood.

Hm, good points, hadn't thought of that. I guess my main question was, is it lighter than the stock pad? I realize it wouldn't be much, but every pound helps, and it's relatively high on the car...
