 How to identify OEM rims?

Hi,

Is there an easy way to identify an alloy rim is OEM or replica?

Thanks.

I believe OEM ones will have BMW and the part number on them. I have style 44's, and can check the markings for you if you still need the info, following other responses.

If it was easy they would not be very good replicas, now would they?

I am trying to buy a used set from a stranger. Reasonable price, and I don't want to be fooled by replicas. Where can I find part number on them?

Anything else I should look for buying used rims? Is it a normal practice to check for balance before closing the deal?

Thanks!
