Buying Items from the For Sale forum here,Vote Please
Im posting this here since this is the best place I feel for the question being asked, Due to the FS section being numerous forums
Basically the question is
Would you spend 9.99 to insure that when you bought something off of a automotive message board FS section or even ebay that you would either get what you paid for or for a seller that you get your money from the buyer and not have to worry about fraud . i.e. fake money orders,scammers etc....

i'm one of those people who refuse to ever buy any of the extra insurance
i've yet to be screwed
i know it will happen, but so far i've been fortunate
i've made several $1k+ purchases on this and other car boards and have been satisfied with the results
you just have to do your research and be careful whom you buy from imo
i always like to read all/many of the sellers previous posts, make sure they didn't just join last month etc
that said, ebay is a whole other matter

IN lots of online transactions I have been screwed a few times. Total value of being screwed is a LOT less than the cost of "insurance" for all the other items.
