Hi
recently bought a used S52 coupe...thx everyone for answering my questions..
so I was taking apart the rear end looking for signs of torn subframe
but i discovered that the previous owner beat me to it...everything looks fine...no signs of torn ear and spot wields...see pics...phew...
question is how often does the subframe fail even after the reinforcement
now i just need to take apart door to grease up the windows...then i am all set...

Your pictures don't show any indication of floor pan spot weld separation and I also don't see any signs that the floor pan seams and differential bracket have been reinforced.
