Opinion ? | I do not believe anyone here has seen the one at the auto show, but do not forget that the production model will prob. have a few differences then the auto show one If you do a search here, I think there are some shots of it on the road in real world but it has some camo on it

This post is exactly my view point of what the new model is:
The new design fits the design of the times like the 350z, cayman, etc... The demand will be huge, the production will be high and the new Z4 coupe will not be the cult classic of the original M Coupe, nor will they hold their value at all. Even the interior is a failure to me. I love watching all the gauges (tems, oil, air, etc..) come to life when you turn the key and the engine warms up. The deletion of that helicoptor cockpit fell is a big let down.
Porsche junkies like me will know that the new Z4 M Coupe will be 996 of the M Coupes. They wen't with a design that appealed to more. More bought it and now hte market is flooded. You can pick up a used 996 for less than a comparable 993.
Dealers couldn't sell the old M Coupes. Now they can't keep them on their lot if they got one. If your wanting a new M Coupe, do youself a favor. The dealers will be flooding the market with them because they will be selling like crazy. Wait for the lease returns to come back and the market will be flooded and you be able to pick one up cheap.
Sorry for the long post, I just think the 1st M was so timeless and feel the new M is missing the mark, soap box over.

Mark my words Randy. The market will be flooded, I can't wait to see production #'s. Espically if the release the V8 two years after the S54.

The Z4 coupe may be a totally different car but it still has a lot of Z4 roadster looks and that wasn't a big success?
I guess time will tell. I feel like the coupe will stay in that small niche market...
