A huge sheet of snow hit my car . . . So cold today that the snow is hard as a rock
It's 16 degrees this morning and I was driving on the highway this morning when a "sheet" of snow fell off the roof of a truck and skimmed the roof of my car. This sheet of "rock" was about 6 inches thick and around 3 feet by 3 feet, and since it was so cold it was like a large piece of rock hitting my car. Luckily no paint was chipped. I think there's a slight dent on the roof (too cold to look carefully). Luckily it didn't hit my windshield, if it did I don't think I would here. Not to be overly dramatic, but probably dead by de-capitation.

Glad to hear the damage is not too extreme...

And afterwards I went over to UC Santa Barbara where students either skateboard to class or ride their bikes. Very unique campus atmosphere--flip flops, shorts, surfing, etc.  Oh the view is great in Santa Barbara, so are you still there?
The damage wasn't bad, not a dent, but a slight ding. It could have been a lot worse! I know that drivers of cars can be ticketed here for not clearing all the snow/ice off your car, but I wonder if there's a law for trucks. I know it's difficult to clear off the roof of trucks, but having that piece of rock ice flying off is simply very dangerous.

Yikes its the same story here in Toronto........as its been really bad weather in the ast few days...temperatures in celsuis are as low as -20....now brrrrrrrrrrr thas coldddd 
Gotta watch out for these trucks I guess
