My Z3 roadster has a problem around the rear window seal where the outer roof fabric is coming out from the lining, I have pushed it pack under the seal but it always comes out and looks really unsightly, is this a known problem and is there a fix for this.
The BMW dealer basically says bad luck this is not a BMW problem.

My dealer replaced my top after they tried to fix it twice and it kept coming back out. I think this is a known problem because the fabric was cut shorter than it should have been. If yours is not still under warranty I think others have reglued their with some success. Try a search to find how they did it.

Do a search in yahoo for z3 window seperating or what not, you should come up with a few hits

This is my first post on this forum thanks for the prompt response. I puchased this car from a BMW dealer about 10 months ago, it came factory BMW 12 month used car warranty, should this be covered under the warranty and where would I find the service bulletin relating to this. I have had a couple of warranty problems, the clutch lining came off, and the air intake meter or whatever it is called was faulty and in these instances I found BMW and the dealer a pleasure to deal with.

Happens to mine frequently. I usually take a quarter and push fabric back under seal. I guess I'll glue it in the spring when I take it out of the garage and remove the HT. Any suggestions on commercially available glue and applicator? Down side of this fix is my fear that the glue could get sloppy and stain top.
