Greetings!
Can anyone help me with respect to diagnosing the problem of a Cluster/Console 'Black Out' with my 2000 M Z3 Roadster? I believe that the fix can be as simple as replacing the Stoplight switch. I've checked the fuses and I don't believe that the problem is there. Odometer and lapsed trim LED's still light up, but nothing else except radio.
I'm also looling for an 'ace' independent mechanic in the Las Vegas area.
Cheers!

your headlight switch has burnt out. Its a simple matter to change it, however you might want to find the reason why it burnt out so it does not happen again.
switch from a dealer is about $40.

good link. I found that a small screwdriver works as well as the special tool, and the link fails to point out the small screw that you'll find after removing the knob. Get that out and the switch should be easy to remove without dropping the bottom portion of the dash.
