greetings..... 2001 Z3.... the interior A/C light bulb is out....... driving me nutz...... is this an easy replacement????? many thanks for any help....

The AC/recirculate switch or the HVAC control?

Fairly easy fix...remove the radio and go in through the radio hole. The bubs used are 12v 2 watt bulbs...BMW PN 62-13-695-218...+/- $3.00 from the dealership. Since your there, replace the pair as the second one will eventually go out.

thanks for the help..... it is the control button that turns on the a/c compressor...... would that be the hvac control???

If it's the switch with the snowflake button it uses (looks like) a T1 12V, 0.5W lamp.
You have to pull off the snowflake cap.
There is a orange cover over the bulb which you will probably destroy removing it with the bulb. At least I did removing one from a defective switch last night.
Not sure where you will get the lamp. It's not in my Osram catalog which is several years old. The lamp base has Spahn on it. Probably not the pitcher.
