At Homecoming '05 Dwayne Mosley drove me to chop chop in his Porsche.
On the way I noticed what looked like a cigar lighter with a lens.
Turned out to be a LED flashlight inserted into the cigar lighter socket.
Since a cigar lighter socket is normally hot at all times, the flashlight doesn't charge until the voltage approaches 14 volts. So it only charges when the car is running.

I used a BMW socket 61 34 8 383 215 $8.20r versus the VW socket which was $27.69

I purchased the flash lights from:

Lemme dig in the achives a bit. I have one.

My kid got two with his Touareg, we bought enough for my BMW's. They're COOL!

EDIT:

Ok, the montage was totally for something else, and I'm too lazy to cut the picture up, but that LED flashlight in a Z3 ciggy lighter:

I replaced my stock cigar lighter with a console lock switch.

Are everyone's cargo covers showing wear here? I have thought before about adding a leather edge on each side. More durable. My cargo cover looks just like Ron's.
