 Z-4 windscreen choices

First post--been enjoying this board since I got my Z-4 in December. I'm thinking of getting a windscreen and wanted to now what experience is out there on the various types. I've seen clear plexiglass types as well as the mesh type. Is anyone using one of these? Worth getting???
Thanks, all!

i juss got one and have the mesh and it works great.... i mean im not much right now with words cuz im pretty drunk... but im sur3e u will like it.... you can carry on a cell phone call if you have a wind screen up... they are convient, becuase in michigan where i live one day i wake up its 94 degrees out and the next day its like 60 outside so i must say the windscreen can give u those convertible days that almost would have been ruined by a low temp or windy day. OOO Women like them too!... keeps their hair nice in the car that way you can mess it up when you get back to the crib.. hoped that helped you buddy, between mesh and the solid plexicoat, get mesh, mush esasietr to deal with and better lookin IMO

I drove my first Z3 around for a few weeks in November, when I first got it. The addition of the mesh windscreen reduced the turbulent back draft that hit the back of my head and swirled around the cabin. However, the black trim on top of the mesh does enough to obscure distant rear view vision, especially when trying to make out if the full size sedan wayyy back there has a rack of red and blue light domes.
I like the flexible mesh type as I can very easily unzip it and open up the back to unobstructed vision. But the clear plastic ones have got to be better for rear vision and better wind control. It would really irritate me if they flutter in the windstream. Maybe solid plastic screen owners could comment on that.
If I had it to do over, which I may anyways, I would like to give the plastic version a try, since I leave the mesh screen up 95% of the time.
