Stainless steel clutch line for improved clutch control

100% MADE IN USA

Original clutch line is rubber and can expand under the normal pressure of use. This expansion of the line negatively affects the clutch slave cylinder actuation, and makes for mushy pedal feedback.

UUC's Stainless Clutch Line is used to "performance tune" your clutch control. Inner TeflonŽ line is covered with woven stainless steel braid that will not expand under pressure.
The advantages include better clutch pedal feedback and superior clutch modulation. Results will be immediate.

Technical features:

  • line material fully compliant with DOT standards (MVSS-1006)

  • lines burst-tested to 6000psi

(maximum tested pressure from a BMW hydraulic system is 1200psi)

  • TeflonŽ inner line covered with a woven layer of stainless steel

and covered in an abrasion-resistant material (translucent blue plastic covering).

  • end pieces perfectly match original BMW design for easy assembly.

pseudo CDV?

If it goes where it's shown in the pic, it's on the other side of the bracket where the CDV usually goes, so the CDV stays unless you take it out when you're in there installing this thing.

Pseudo because I'm not sure where it is in the illustration above. Referencing THIS thread, it apprently is inside the hose on the MZ3s, thus necessitating the total replacement of the hose, thus why I'm guessing UUC made this product. I don't know for sure <---- why I'm asking.

Interesting... I'm so used to seeing E39/E46 CDV stuff where it is obviously a discrete part that we remove on a regular basis (but my car never came with one).

But because it appears to be on the 'soft line' side, given the length of this hose and the fittings on both ends will mate, it would remove the integrated CDV as well.

Several manufacturers' SS line kits actually come with a clutch line hose as part of the kit. I'm guessing that none of the MZ ones do.

Guys,
FYI
I just replaced my clutch hose on my 99 M Roadster with a ss one and the " restrictor " you refer to was in the end of the factory hose at the slave cylinder fitting. The improvement in clutch feel and actuation is a HUGE improvement with the ss hose. The transmission also shifts smoother ( I had previously replaced the clutch assembly, but this was a bigger improvement ) I don't understand why BMW would place this restriction in the line, and why the original would expand so much. Bad engineering I think.

Do they have an application for the M-Z3 for the clutch and brake lines?
