hi, i have a 97 z3 2.8 and it started overheating on me about 2 weeks ago. i already flusher the coolant and changed the thermostat but it is still over heating. what could it be? may be the cluctch fan? i dont know but any one with some info please help out thank you.

Wish I could help you, but you already did what I would have done. Did you check your pump? Hang in there there is alot of knowledge in this forum. Just be patient

You can check the clutch fan by trying to spin it by hand with the engine off. If it spins more than about 1/2 - 1 turn after you let go, it could be your problem.

You should also check the aux (electric) fan. Check the fuse(s) first. If that's okay, you will have to do some electrical troubleshooting (or get someone to do it). Could be a bad coolant temp sensor (no signal to turn the aux fan on).

does it overheat when you're moving or stopped.

if you're stopped, there is air in your system or it's your fan switch
when it starts getting hot, turn on the heater and see if hot air comes out. if not, there is a bubble in your system

hi, need a new clutch fan and was wondering what other year and model clutch fan would work on my z3 2.8
