I have a number of these trim caps left over from owning my 97 Z3. These are the dark beige caps, part number 51 16 8 194 788, for Z3s or maybe other beige interiors up to 4/99. Since it takes 6 to replace the caps on either the glovebox or the driver's lower dash cowling, I thought I would give them away in increments of 7. If you would like 7 or 14 of these for free, send me a PM with your address and I'll mail them in a baggie placed in an envelope.

I'm pretty new to the Z3 and BMWs in general. Was there a light beige as well? I have a '96 with the black/beige interior, and my screw caps are trashed from multiple excursions into the dash (previous owners and once myself). A new set would be great if they're the right color! I'll send a PM... maybe someone can confirm/deny the color match.

There was also a beige 2 trim cap, but it's for Z3s produced after 4/99.
I'm sure mine are the right caps for your year of Z3. They are called dark beige but they really aren't very dark. I received your PM and address, I'll send you 14 of them. A good way to remove the old caps is to use a dental pick or small hook tool, puncture the top of the cap, and pull it off. Or very carefully use needlenose pliers.
