Whats the story on fuel injectors? I have one leaking on the beater, and I want to replace it. Can I get a used one from someone? Or should I get a new one?

Before my S54 I had a Miata. Usually just the O-Ring goes bad, so you may just have to replace that. If not, just keep the 1.6 liter injectors with the 1.6 or the 1.8 liter with the 1.8. I would have no problems using a junkyard part if the car were a beater. OR, if you feel the other three injectors may be soon to go, send all the injectors off to RC Engineering www.rceng.com - they will rebuild/clean them for a reasonable fee.

It just appears to be wet with fuel. So I just need an o-ring?

Replace the O-Ring and see what happens. Certainly the cheapest way to go. Also check that everything is mounted securely to the fuel rail and the fuel rail itself is securely mounted as well. Good Luck, Brett

Well, I am stopping by advance auto parts on the way home to get an O-ring kit and a drain pan for the BMW diff. Looks like tonight is going to be a car project night.

I might have some injectors (stock) still. Let me know if the Oring doesn't fix things and I'll pull my parts box out and take a look. I've got a bunch of left over stuff (although the injectors would all be 1.8s or RC450's.
