a Little Help
Need a little help. Just Purcahsed a 98 Z3, within the first 250 miles I got check engine light.
Ran The codes witha Peak tool. the showed F5, F6 and 08.
F5 is secondary air flow low cly. 4-6
F6 is secondary air flow low cly 1-3
08 is mass air flow sensor.
Blew out the mass air flow sensor and cleaned it up, It looked good. Now Iv'e still got the sames codes coming up and Auto Transmisson light has come on.
Did I damage this sensor and cause the Auto light or do I have other problems?
New mass air sensor should be in next week.
Can anybody give me any info?

OK, got the new MAF and istalled yesterday got the codes reset, No more MAF code, no more Secondary air flow codes, and the auro taransmisson light when out ASA I installed it.
So, a MAF problem can make you really nervous with all the codes that it can throw.

P.S.
Don't believe all BMW parts Manuels, my MAF was not the one in the books, the one I have is listed for a 328I. First one was wrong anfd got it replaced.
