License Plate, Ultraseal, Wheel Paint, Badges questions
Just got a 2000 M Roadster and I've got a few questions I haven't found answers for.
1. Just saw a pict in another form of the front bumper of a Z3 with what looks like a black plastic support between the bumper and the license plate. Is this the correct way the plate mounts or does it just screw directly into the bumper? Yes, yes I know, but it's L.A. and they harass you if you don't have one.
2. I read in a European form about a guy who tried Ultraseal as an alternative to the M Mobility fix-a-flat stuff and highly recommended it. Has anyone here tried it?
3. Has anyone found touch-up paint for the brilliant silver wheels that you can purchase? I already found the form about Tran, but I just want to do a few touchups myself.
4. I don't suppose someone makes just the sticker part for the stripes on the side M logos or do you have to buy the complete badge? The red is faded.

Stealer sells them for about $30 but alot of people sell them on the forums (I will be ridding myself of one in a couple weeks)
4. Not that I know of, the badges are not terribly expensive. Around $30 for the large one. Plus the newer curved ones that you can buy supposedly will not fade.
Sorry I can't help with 2 & 3

They then cut pieces to the appropriate size and shape and stick them over the faded stripes. I've also seen a website where someone sells adhesive stripes in different colors, like white/gray/black.

Sorry I can't help with 2 & 3 | Do you know if the bracket is the same on a Z3 and an M Roadster? Let me know if you want to sell yours.
If they solved the fading problem then maybe it's worth it to get new badges if no one sells just the sticker.

Thanks for the info.
