I bought a 1999 Z3 Roadster and it has the Business CD stereo in it. All I get when I turn it on is Code Wait. What does this mean? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! Jimmy

There is a unlock code for each stereo that you need to enter. When the car is originally purchased, the code is imprinted on a little card that you're supposed to keep in a safe place (not in the car, in case of theft of the stereo). If you didn't get that with the paperwork for the car, the seller might still have it. You can also contact your local dealer to get it.

Check the owners manual ... its very likey the radio passcode card in the BMW foulder that came with the car and contains all the owners guides and Books. THe only way the Radio will ask for a code is if the battery was disconnected from it.
If all else fails call the dealer

You enter the code using the number buttons on the head unit.
But you can't enter the code until you get the unit out of "code wait" mode and into code entry mode, where the display just reads "CODE". You have to leave the ignition on until the code wait times out. I think it's an hour, but it may be longer.
You get three tries to enter the code. If you don't get it right, the unit goes into code wait mode and you will have to start over.
