While being in somewhat of a shadow by the few twinscrew superchargers currently underway, I'll go ahead and chronicle the installation of a (former) Dinan/Vortech belt-driven supercharger into my 99 S-52 M Rdstr.
I had already procurred a 2nd DME (from a salvaged 97 E-36 M3) and had it programmed with the M Rdstr's VIN and AWS alignment. That unit will ship out Monday, 10/10/05 to NickG at Technique Tuning down in Florida. That will allow me at some later date to return the 99 M Rdstr back to original condition (with its original DME) and sell off the supercharger complete with software, should I choose to.
As part and parcel of the sc installation, I am also upgrading to an S-54 radiator, oil cooler and filter housing. That's where I focused my attention last night, after removing the original radiator and filter housing.
Back when I removed this supercharger from the IR Coupe that was being fitted with the AA turbo, I milled off the unused portion of the 3"HFM that had previously been hacksawed, filed (and chiseled?) off. All in the name of doing a sanitary installation.
More to follow as work progresses. The downside being the fact that the gray car will be put into daily driver status (in/out of a petroleum refinery) all week while the black car is down

Managed to get a little further today; most of the plumbing is worked out. I am very glad that I tagged everything as it was removed from the red Coupe!
The oil feed line works out to be too short when the oil cooler (and VANOS adapter block), so I'll need to get some more fittings & hose to resolve that. Besides just generally tight working conditions (access under the intake manifold is a real treat), everything is going pretty smooth.
Sue's already asking when she can drive it...

You just have to love a project that goes as planned; engine started on the first touch of the key.
