Hi, does anybody know a good Socal BMW/Merc mechanic, who cares for his cars and doesn't rip you off like a dealer?
I want to have my Mercedes checked out for a general inspection and definitely want to have the transmission fluid changed. At 60k miles I'll probably bring in my Z3 too for a general check up.

Lou's VW in Reseda (818)345-6774. I have been using him for years. Honest and quality work. Works on other German/eurp makes. Has restored a 280sl, works on BMW 5 series, etc.

I've only used #2, but have heard nothing but good things about #1. The owner of #3 lives next door to my fiancee.

The mechanics are the owner Tony and his main guy Henry. Tony has a 740i and has had his shop for 14 yrs. He is AAA approved. I just had him change my diff oil and I am having him change my belts and tensioner this weekend. If you go to him tell him Rob w/ Z3 referred you. 818-848-8315 2812 N. European Motor Works in Arcadia -- but John Handal works primarily on BMW's.

Callas and SB Indy by Hoa are great places.
If you are located down south, HB area, hands down is Bullet Performance owned by Mickey Miller, Club Racer and was BMW Master Mechanic for Creview BMW. He gives great deal to everybody and his shop is very accessible so you can see everything even stand right next to his mechanics.
