Just bought two extended warranties for the 530xi & 330i. I know the arguements against, but I got a $950 discount on each warranty from the BMW price. Does anyone know how much the mark up really is? I am sure I didn't pay dealer cost.

How much did you pay for each and what year are the cars?
You sig shows 2006, did you know you can buy the warranties anytie before the original warranty is up? You could have kept the money in a CD for 4 years.

I don't know how much these warranties usually sell for, but I hope the dealer gave you one heck of a discount for buying them now.

I think the warranty and the maintenance contract have a claus which says that they are refundable if the car gets totalled. Perhaps a dealer can chip in and confirm.

If you have GEICO, they sell them on new cars, for $40 at year, but must be incorporated with your policy with 15mos for the date of purchased.
