Just below the HK sub there are 3 buttons in a cutout, one of which was my power top. Having relocated that button, i now have an area that seems like a perfect place to put... something. there's power at that location, space to run wires, etc, etc.
Has anyone done anything w/ this area, or should I just forget about it & buy the little pocket that i've seen on other z3s?

What kind of buttons do you have there ? ones a power top which i assume you moved below your radio....what are the other two ?

There are three for the following:
Alarm LED
Roof up/down
Demist for hardtop.
