 Drove Mt. Hamilton today...

I drove Mt Hamilton today (San Jose, CA)... My second time in 3 years. I forgot how ridiculously windy this road is, probably the windiest road I've ever seen. Some flatlander clown on one of the forums once told me that there are no highways with corners so sharp that you can't do 20+mph around them, unless you're a bad driver. Hah. Anyone who's driven this knows that's dead wrong.

Anybody else do Hamilton much? Other suggested drives? Of course Highway 9 to the coast is fun, as is 84 from Woodside, thru La Honda to near Half Moon Bay, but this is the windiest I know of. 24 miles of twisties each way!

Here are a few pix, then link to the gallery with a few shots from the top/shots of my dirty car.

Took that road by mistake one night. It gives new meaning to "twisty."

Wow - sitting inside at work with rain pouring down outside (like it has been for weeks) and looking at those pic's make me so envious - great looking road, no traffic in sight in the pics, nice weather and a fantastic car - what a combination.

Where's the emoticon for green with envy?
