Shifter Linkage Ball Cup = Help :(

I'm trying to remove the stock shifter (in order to shorten in for a 6 speed install)...

I have tried for HOURS to remove this stupid nylon ball cup that is holding the shift lever inside the carrier, and cannot do it.

I am trying to "crossed screwdrivers" method, whereby I stick 2 screwdrivers in the bushing and torque them against each other.

The cup will move about 10deg and then stop and will not budge in the slightest - I have put so much torque into trying to get this out that the screwdrivers are bending.

The only explanation I can come up with, is that it's either broken or my bushing is God and does not want to come out.

Nevermind, got it. Just required absolute brute force.
