Hey BMWNA, I'll probably buy a Z4 Coupe if...

...there's an M version. 260 horses sounds great, but I'm hoping for over 300.

On the nitpicky side, I'd love it in Carbon Black and cinnamon with an anthracite roof liner, comfort access, the ability to see what radio station is tuned with the nav screen down (use the MID fer Pete's sake), steering wheel buttons that look like a factory instead of aftermarket solution (let's face it, the Solstice and Miata have better looking steering wheels with nicer integrated buttons), a rear wiper, Pilot Sport PS2's, and a limited slip diff. A HUD would be really nice...the one on the Corvette made me drool. And power vent the rear side windows just like my e46 coupe. I haven't tried the M-sport seats but if they're as nice as the 350Z seats, they'll work just fine.

Funny that a lot of the posters in the Z4 Coupe thread were non-Z owners. This says to me there's a lot of people eyeing the Z, but that just aren't tempted enough to make the plunge yet.

If the 260hp version was priced not excessively more than a 350Z and the M version similarly to a Corvette but less than a Cayman, I think you'd get my money.

Anyone else want to make a wish list for this car?

While better than the Z4 roadster, unless it comes out below $45K as they showed it, I think the Cayman is going to be a very tough competition. But if you think about it $45K I think is too much already. An S54 Z3 M coupe sold new for a bit less than that.

The Boxster S is going for low to mid 50's last time I checked a few months ago. What is the Z4 roadster 3.0 going for these days?

The 99 M Coupe I bought at invoice ($38.5K). 7 years of 3% inflation bring that price up to $48K. I'd expect the 3liter Z4 Coupe to start in the low 40s. The M Coupe high 40s. Of course, there's tons more competition these days than in 1999 so we'll see. BMW is not in the habit of "competitively" pricing anything

p.s. My wish list: FIX THE F'ING FRONT OF THE CAR! The rear and the profile is gorgeous. How about the upcoming DSG as an option? What about an xi version (the carrera has it).

True, AWD would be sick. And then they could compete in WRC. Think about that.

As far as the front goes, well, lets all hope. Its a big improvement to just fuzz out the flame surfacing in photoshop. Take a hint you morons!

Yeah, the aero kit makes a small improvement in the front. I think what it really needs is a defined bumper line below the kidney grills. I'd plan on changing the front fascia for the aero kit one.
