1998 Z3 help
Hi All,
My daughter owns a 1998 Z3 Red Roadster. The car has 100,128 miles on it and it runs great, however there are 2 red warning lights constanly on. One is for the airbag and one is for the brakes. She had replaced the brakes but the light is still on, she doesn't know why the air bag light is on. Is there any way to reset the brake warning light? What do you think could cause the air bag light to come on.
Also, what repair manual do you suggest is best for a do-it-yourselfer?
Thank you in advance for any help.
Bill
| | Reply » 1998 Z3 help | Hey, sorry to hear you have problems with your car. The airbag light is most likely on due to the malfunctioning seatbelt tensioner, its a very common problem, just in case get the codes read. ABS light could be on because of the ABS wheel speed sensor gone bad/dirty. The manual i have and like quite a bit is by Bentley publishers.I also had the airbag light (SRS) on, and my ABS light came on a few days ago too. So we are sort of in the same boat. For next time you should use the search function im sure you will find it very useful. Below ive posted some links that might come in handy. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...80&hg=72&fg=05 http://www.bentleypublishers.com/
Best of luck with your car, make sure you get it all fixed before the winter if your daughter will be driving during the cold season.
