How hard is it to install a short shif kit ? how long does it take ? I was quote 5 hours by local shop to install it (5 x 90$ =450$ just for installation)
What would you suggest UUC, Rogue or Ron Stygar ?

What would you suggest UUC, Rogue or Ron Stygar ? | 5 hours?? didn't even take me (read: not mechanically gifted) that long. and i got it 90% right  . luckily Randy was willing to help me out. BTW, i think his personal record is something ridiculous like 12 minutes. Obviously I have the Forbes/Stygar SSK, and am very happy with it....
EDIT: here's an issue that i had....some valuable responses in there (as an fyi if you decide to install urself). then i didn't reinstall something correctly and Randy had to fix it for me at HC

Get the Stygar (now made by Randy Forbes) kit. It's easy to install. You can do it from the top, ie, from inside your car.

agreed, stygar/forbes is the best IMO, 5 hours my ass, I covered everything so as not to get a scratch on anything then re read the directions a few times, maybe and I mean maybe 1 hour start to finish, with the tool randy makes it is all done from inside the car, I would also say this is the time to get a new shift boot from leatherz.com if you are thinkning of replacing it
