undefinedundefinedundefined Hi, Have been very interested for quite some time and have FINALLY come across my dream car all read for Autocross............now I am ready to soil myself. I would love to know if anyone knew where I could take a class before humiliating myself amongst cones? Thanks a lot |

Usually they will have brief beginners classes at each auto cross. They will go over the course and give some brief hints and tips.
You will likely be in a beginner group so dont worry. No pressure. Go out and have a good time. Wathch how more experienced drivers get through the cones. Look for their techniques.
One key hint. Be smooooth with all of your inputs to the car.

Normally, you can get rides with other folks. Just sign up for a later run number to give you time to do that. Don't try to diplicate what the good guys do though, just have fun!

At NCC events, identify yourself as a total begineer and they will get an instructor to ride with you.
SCCA runs classes every so often through the year, normally on weekdays.
NCC does a school each spring.

welcome to the club! | I agree. I finally took Phase I & II after 2 years, learned a lot, and you get a TON of runs. In two days we got about 60-70, that is a seasons worth in most regions. Seat time is everything, and for a couple hundred bucks this is the most rewarding seat time you can get.
