Not that I'm in the market for one (unless the Poweball god smiles at me)

They haven't made them for a long time - when the Alpina Z8 came out, that was the end of the regular Z8. I'm amazed that there were still two Alpina Z8's sitting on dealer lots. There were only 500 or so built.

If anyone is looking for a Z8 in Texas, there is one sitting in the showroom at Classic BMW in Richardson (Dallas). It is a preowned 2000 model (first year). I talked to a salesman named Greg about it (real good guy). I think they expect to get around $89K for it. That's still a little high in my book. I don't think the Z8s have bottomed out yet. I have no doubt that they will be a good investment in the long run (less than 700 built I think), but you've gotta get in at the bottom of their price curve. Not while they are still falling in value. The trick is guessing where the bottom is and not missing it.
