Coupe or Roadster?
I see a lot of people have coupes instead of roadsters. Just wondering why? Is it because of the stiffness? Or maybe weather? Just wondering | I really like the roadsters, but there is something about the Coupe...
Way before I knew what they were, I would see one on occasion and think, "what the hell is that thing, some kind of European import or something??" I always thought they were sexy, but I never thought of getting one.
One day it dawned on me that I was sick of my big, diesel truck (although 530ft/lbs of torque can be fun) and I decided there was NO other car that I wanted more than an M Coupe. The roadsters are awesome, but they just don't have the distinct look of the Coupe. Thats just my opinion

I must say I love the look of the roadsters if they are upgraded a bit; you know better rims, wider tires. Gives it a totally different look; not a huge fan of the stock 16" wheels.
When I moved to CA, there was one thing I knew, I MUST have a convertible. Guess that's why I got the roadster. Really like the look of the coupes too though...
Thx for the input!

Thx for the input! | The M's come with some pretty wide rear wheels and big rear fenders.
| | Reply » Coupe or Roadster? | Oh yeah! The M's look awesome! I was talking about the 'regular' ones...
I almost bought a '99 M roadster at the time with 56k miles. It looked to beat up though...
| | Reply » Coupe or Roadster? | I lived with convertibles several times as a kid. They were fun then, but I wouldn't want one now. I prefer to have my car enclose me apart from the elements and not be subject to leaks, noise, limited rearward visibility, and top-repair costs.
Oh, and I also think the Z3 coupes (especially the M version) just look really good, but I admit that it's a "love it or hate it" kind of look.
