i will be taking my brake system off to install stainless steel hoses and other stuff w/ the calipers. meanwhile, when i have the brakes off, I want to be able to cap off the brake hardline. Does anyone know what size cap nut I need to be able to temporarily cap the hardlines? is it M10x1.5? M10x1.25? OR?
Thanks for any info...

Thanks for any info... | Perhaps I`m misreading your question, but GENERALLY speaking, line fittings are tapered pipe thread (NPT)

There should be a plastic cap that came with the SS lines - that should work fine.
(Same Q as on that other forum?)

No, brake lines are some form of flare fitting, tapered pipe thread uses the interference fit to seal, flare fitting use machined surfaces to seal, and do so with MUCH less torque.
StopTech lines come with little rubber caps that fit over the end of the hard line to prevent or at least greatly reduce fluid dripping. All my sets have come wiht 2 per set (for one axle) I just use one, as I can only do one wheel set of lines at a time anyway.
