 IE Rear Shock Mounts

Anyone used the IE Rear Shock Mounts? They look good to me and are priced well against everything else.

after this weeks spirited drive I have the dreaded clunk!

They're all pretty much the same in construction, but as a Coupe owner, you'd want to modify the IE version to "bottom" mount. As received, they have the mounting bolts threaded into the aluminum from the bottom (nuts on the inside). I've used them, but I had to drill out the threads and weld bolts to a Z3 reinforcement ring.

The Rogue Engineering version are the nicest ones I've yet seen (IE, GC & RE) and are just what the Coupe owner ordered (no mods required).

If (big if) you were to comb through all the albums on www.rfdm.com/gallery, you'd come across pictures of the different types.

Thanks for the info, if the RE's are the best bet for bottom mounting then those I shal get!

Randy, why RE over GC? Just asking.

I have the GC's on my gray car, and I've got no complaints, but the RE's just impress me more with their heavier-duty reinforcement plate with welded in bolts (the GC's are in threaded holes w/red Loctite). The RE's are also anodized black vs the GC's red...

Daniel gave me a pair of the RE reinforcement plates that he powder-coated and I now have those holding the GC's in the gray car.

Well, the welded in portion you can fix.

Black versus red?

I have GC in the Roadster, set to full stiff. The LTW has JTB RSMs. And I have a set of te E46 GC RSMs ready to go (the E46 version has a full circle reinforcement). But I am seriously considering a TC Kline suspension for the E46, which would have their RSMs come with it.

BTW I hope you weren't running those mounts in SCCA Stock class.
